Art of Japanease Folding Paper

Origami from the word "ori" meaning "folding" and "gami" meaning "paper". It's an Japenease art in folding paper using geometric folds and create patternd preferably without glue or cutting and only using one piece of paper. The end it has to representive of an object such as crane or flower and many others.



The origin of its still unknown since there is alot of traditional paper folding in China, German and Spain. Origami had become one og significant aspect of Japanease ceremony by the Heian period Japanease history. It is believe samurai warriors will exchange gifts adorned with noshi, sort of good luck token made of folded strips of paper

Origami paper also refer as 'kami', is sold in prepackaged squares of various sizes ranging from 2.5 cm to 25 cm and more. It is commoly coloured on one side and white at the other side. Normal copy paper can be used to fold crane or waterbomb. Washi is the predominant origami paper used in Japan is generally tougher than ordinary paper. Washi is made from fibres from the bark of the Gampi tree.
