  • Christmas falls on 25th December every year. It is a celebration by the Christians to commerates the birth of Jesus. Although it is traditionally Christian holiday but it is widely celebrated also by many non-christians.
  • Nowdays the popular modern customs of christmas is christmas tree, lights, exchange gifts and Father of christmas, Santa Claus.
  • The word Christmas is derived from "Chirst's Mass"
  • While most countries celebrated christmas on 25 December every year, some National churches including those of Russia, Georgia, Armenia, Ukraine and Serbia celebrated in 7 January according to the traditional use of Julian Calendar.
  • Christmas carolling began as English custom called Wassailing, it's an event toasting neighbors to a long and healthy living

  • Santa Claus was inspired by Saint Nicholas, a bishop that enjoys giving gifts to orphans and poor.
  • It is a british Christian tradition that a wish will come true if the ingredients of Christmas pudding is stirred clockwise.
  • In France , Christmas is called Noel. This is derived from the French phrases 'les bonnes nouvelles'
  • Bells is an early pagan winter celebration to ringing bells to derive evil spirit. Later the tradition began to ring bells on Christmas Eve to welcome the spirit of Christmas.
